Next Big Idea 2010 edition finals held on September 2010 at NSRCEL, IIM Bangalore

The finals of the 2010 edition of Next Big Idea, a Business Plan Competition, sponsored by National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB) under the aegis of Department of Science & Technology, Government of India and Intel was held at the Nadathur S Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (NSRCEL), at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB).The finals saw entrepreneurs across sectors talk about their business model to a panel of Judges comprising of representatives from DST, Intel, Next Big Idea Advisory board and other VCs. YourStory, the media partner for the Next Big Idea was there at the final interacting with the entrepreneurs and judges. The results will be announced soon and the two finalists will attend the University of California, Berkeley Technology Entrepreneurship Challenge. The shortlisted ventures were:

For next year's Next Big Idea Competition there will be two categories:

Champion of Champions category where the top 3 teams of any business plan competition held in India during April 2010 & December 2010 can apply. Last date for submission of Detailed Business Plan is January 15, 2011. Entries Open October 1, 2010.

Open Challenge category where any individual or team with a bright idea can apply. Last date for submission of Executive Summary of Business Plan is November 30, 2010. Entries open now!!!
