InVenture launches new site to support micro-entrepreneurs

InVenture, which we previously covered, has some exciting updates as it launches its new site. Here is the latest from its founder, Shivani Siroya:InVenture started a transition from a being a non-profit start-up to a more mature hybrid model. By privatizing portions of our operations, we have been able to cut down overhead and better leverage the resources at our disposal for the benefit of our micro-entrepreneurs. We believe this allow us to be more responsive to our clients, be sustainable operationally, and increase the resources we have available for scale. We want to make sure everyone knows that 100% of online InVestments has always and will always continue to go to the micro-entrepreneur in need.
We also began a complete re-imagination of our peer-to-peer platform, finding ways for users to build stronger connections to our micro-entrepreneurs and see how their money is being used. For InVestors, new profile functions will make it possible to track their InVestments progress, create Rallies around favorite micro-entrepreneurs and causes, and experience life on the InVenture team from the writing of our fellows working in Mexico, Mali and India.
Be sure to check out their new site, launching on Thursday, June 16!
