Possibillion Launches Paginative: Create Mobile Apps Out of Books!

possibillion

Founded by Ayyappa Nagubandi, Possibillion is an 'ideas' company that works in the space of mobile applications. Before moving on to Possibillion, Ayyappa was a part of a start-up company NowPos. He brings in 14 years of work experience and has been intricately connected with conceptualising and evolving technology development. “As the world shrinks and everybody moves towards the shrinking mobile phone, it is only appropriate that development in this sector is perceived as the most happening space in technology. To be at the most happening place and meet the challengers is a thrilling experience for me and my team,” says Ayyappa.Possibillion’s core competence are in development of mobile apps and web 2.0 applications where social media is tightly tied into the service offerings. “With years of experience in mobile technologies we understand the mobile phone in and out and use this expertise to solve our client’s problems in an innovative way.” says Ayyappa.

Paginative

Paginative is a simple way to create mobile apps of books. All a user needs to do is to copy-paste the text and the book is ready in the form of an app that can be read on any Apple or Android mobile device.

“We realised that virtually everything that is to happen is happening on the mobile phone. It is then that it struck that the mobile enables search but hampers research. Knowledge streams through text reading are hampered by non-availability of tech support on mobile platforms.” This is the thought that led to the development of Paginative. “We wanted to make reading interesting and easier. We wanted to give people a tool where one can communicate directly with an author and vice versa, where one can copy and post snippets on social media, annotate on a page and so on. Paginative was born through such ideas.” he adds.

Process and pricing

It’s an easy process where all one needs to do is copy and paste. An author can sign up with the service and create a book app; Paginative is a self service platform where the author can create various chapters of the book, upload the book cover and review the same before publishing. Once everything is set, the author publishes the book, Paginative converts the entered information into iPhone/iPad and Android apps.

There are two packages available, standard package where the apps are sent to the author. The author can use his app store account details and submit the app to the respective app stores. The author is free to price the app as per his wish.

In the Premium package, Paginative take the responsibility of submitting the app to the Apple iTunes App store and Android Play market. “We also collect the sales amount from these apps on behalf of the author and credit the amount to the author once a threshold amount of $250 is reached. We integrate analytics if this package is purchased. The premium package has lot more features where the author can know more about how the book is received by the readers with the help of analytics.” informs Ayyappa.

Services and possibilities ahead

For businesses at any stage, Possibillion offers a basket of technology services that spawn innovation and business value enhancement. “The breadth of our services range from application development to open source frameworks to mobile technologies; from idea development and through to implementation, our service engagement model helps reduce technology spending, improve time to market and achieve sustainable competitive advantages.” says Ayappa.

Possibilion has faced obstacles and looked for solutions for them which have resulted into new products. “From one of the obstacles we have faced, comes an idea for our other product. Startups usually run on shoe string budget. They have to manage product development to administration to advertisement within this small budget. For them even $50 is important and big. If they have to advertise and generate revenues, they have to spend at least $5000 on online advertising. With $50, can they promote their brand or product and get the mileage of $5000 ad spend? From this question comes our solution and our next product offering. We are working on this and most likely will release this by month end.” reveals Ayyappa.

Visibility is one aspect Possibillion will have to work upon because all a product like Paginative needs is to come to light on the global scale. Know more about them here and Paginative here.
