CommonFloor.com is an innovative online service property search, apartment and vendor management service that caters to an individual’s complete residential requirements. The recent addition of a new map based search feature for property buying and renting enables users to locate properties on a map, in addition to a keyword based search. Launched in 2007 by Sumit Jain, Lalit Mangal and Vikas Malpani, one can use CommonFloor for various services ranging from searching for an apartment to facilitating interactions within an apartment community on the ‘common floor’ platform, to connecting one to relevant service providers, the portal is dedicated to meeting all aspects of consumers’ needs around their home.The newly introduced map based search provides a single, accrued view of the area or locality that a user is scanning to buy or rent property. It considerably reduces the number of searches as compared to the traditional method of key word based search.
