Plannto was started two years back, but for Kumar the passion to do something on his own has been there since his college days. Before he embarked on his entrepreneurial journey, Kumar has worked for over 12 years in product development with the likes of Microsoft, SunGard, HP and LightPharma. The Plannto engineering team is spread across various regions; developers in Mangalore, data experts in Chennai and user interface design team in Udaipur.

Owners can follow the products they own, know how to use products effectively and even know the latest news about those products. Users on Plannto can also talk to other owners or experts to share the knowledge about the product or discuss any issues they may have with that particular product. Apart from product knowledge, users can also follow various topics based on their interest associated to that product. For example, landscape photography, bird photography, cycling training and iPhones among others. Besides users, experts can also follow various products/topics based on their interest and expertise. They can also assist buyers in deciding the right product as well as network with other experts.
