Mobikon launches Konekt Concierge to add some firepower to their Analytics Arsenal

Mobikon's Konekt Suite had recently revealed that they had assisted over 417 restaurants in India and Singapore which in turn is helping them engage with over 1.3 million customers. In light of this, Mobikon has added a new product to it's Suite, Concierge, which is a table reservation system. This Android app will help restaurants replace pen and paper solutions for table reservations.

In return, with customer profile information that the product would possess, Mobikon offers an interesting proposition to brands, by which they can carry out very relevant and targeted advertising campaigns. Furthermore, the restaurants using the products can also market and upsell their food offers and promotions to their customers as Conceirge plugs in to the existing Konekt Suite. This also gives restaurants an integrated Customer Relationship Management solution. Also, since Konekt is a cloud-based solution, restaurants would be able to see collated data from across multiple chain outlets.

Vinay Gopinath (VP – Business Development, Mobikon), who has been working in the hospitality and retail industry for over 12 years, said, “Over the last 3 months, we have been piloting Concierge with 15 restaurants. And, the response has been phenomenal. On an average, restaurants have reported gathering 1100+ new customer profiles per month. And, so restaurants’ customer database has been increasing, and they have been able to keep these customers engaged by promoting intelligent offers based on customer demographics, preferences, and spending range as captured by Concierge."

The Singapore-India based Company also announced partnerships with leading online food

portals in India, which will enable Concierge customers to increase footfalls by seamlessly accepting bookings from these destination sites. Concierge also has built in integration with the restaurants' Facebook pages and mobile websites thus enabling direct reservations from social and mobile channels. The product also features call and SMS reservation confirmations.Our Take 

The Mobikon Konekt suite has been hugely popular and it's current standing in India and Singapore markets speaks a lot about the effectiveness of the product. The addition of Concierge to the suite comes across as a great addition, as it is a novel way of gaining customer insights; the electronic table reservation system is a useful utility and at the same time, its insights might interest many brands. Furthermore, Mobikon claims that the pilots with restaurants have shown increase in footfall.

The challenge will lie in reaching out to more restaurants as well as upselling this product to existing users. Customer engagement on mobile has definitely been the way to go forward and the likes of Capillary have shown that solutions providers in this space can scale at a global level.
