YourStory partners with certification program on creative problem solving; startups get 10% off registration fee
A one-day workshop on creative problem solving along with a certification programme will be held on Friday June 13 in Bangalore. It will cover tools of idea generation and short-listing, creating a culture of innovation in teams, building an ‘Idea Factory,’ and sharpening personal creativity.
Innovation and creativity are increasingly understood as the imperatives of organizational growth and personal excellence. These skills can be honed in a systematic and disciplined fashion and a range of tools and techniques exist for creative problem solving. Successful organizations treat innovation as not just an art, but a science too, and hence creativity and innovation can well be ‘taught’.
Participants of the following profiles are invited to attend: startup founders, team leaders and middle level managers, from all sizes of firms, preferably from technology industries. At the end of the workshop, participants will understand the difference between invention and creativity; techniques like Nine Windows, Mind Mapping, and Strategy Canvas.; tools like Buyer Utility Map and ERRC Grid; and practices such as Weighted Scoring Method. Case studies and roadmaps will also be covered.
Participants will understand how to institutionalize a systematic approach of identifying opportunities and solving business problems, evaluating idea pipelines, ways of keeping firms innovative, and brainstorming techniques.
