The Karnataka government’s 18th annual IT and Electronics conference (BangaloreITE.biz) kicked off this week in Bangalore. The three-day event is jointly organised by Dept. of IT and STPI. The first conference held way back in 1998 was called BangaloreIT.com, and today a number of other industry associations also hold their annual tech and startup events in the Silicon Valley of India (sometimes jokingly called the Silicon Traffic Jam of India).
The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Fuelling Growth through Disruptive Innovation,’ and has a strong focus on products and startups. There are panels and keynotes on SMAC, IoT, e-government, gaming, smart cities, electronics manufacturing, R&D and incubation. Highlights for entrepreneurs include the Startup Pavilion, Code for Karnataka Appathon, and a pitch competition called YESSS (Young Entrepreneurs & Startups in Soaring Spirits).
Check out these 25 startups exhibiting at Bangalore ITE 2015, and make sure you reserve your space for the next annual edition of Karnataka’s flagship digital conference!
