SAP’s Startup Social: Your chance to learn about innovation from those who made it happen
For SAP, a global leader in enterprise application software, innovation and revenue go hand-in-hand. In fact, they are always reinventing and bringing innovations to life, which in turn drives their revenue.
The company believes it’s the only way forward and is keen that younger players in the startup community pick up pointers on how they can accomplish this, from larger and more established industry players.
And that’s exactly what the second edition of Startup Social is all about. Launched in 2016, Startup Social is a flagship incubation platform by SAP which brings together founders and leaders, to initiate conversations around the Indian startup ecosystem and its future.
Last year, Startup Social saw over 200 participants who were part of some vibrant and informative discussions. This time around too, the event would witness active participation from the investor community and thought leaders from the ecosystem.
The event will take place on April 20, 2017, at the SAP Labs campus in Whitefield, Bengaluru.
What’s in it for you?
Startup Social will have talks by thought leaders and stalwarts like Bernd Leukert, Member of the Executive Board of SAP SE and Nandan Nilekani, Co-founder at Infosys and former UIDAI Chairman. Other speakers include Viral.B. Shah, Co-founder and CEO, Julia Computing; Kumar Vembu, Founder and CEO GoFrugal Technologies; Shradha Sharma, Founder, YourStory and Tathaghat Varma, Founder and CEO, ThoughtLeadership.in.
Not only will they share their views on scaling a startup, you will also get an opportunity to learn about their entrepreneurial journey and get insights into where you might need to improve. The key focus of the event is on scaling and investing right, and you have the chance to get personal insights from startup unicorns on aspects like funding, growth, product positioning and the like.
Some of the key investors attending the event are Rajesh Raju from Kalaari , Rithuvik Doshi and Parag Dhol from Inventus, Dr. Srikanth Sundararajan from VentureEast, Zerin Rahiman from IndigoEdge, Rahul Chowdhry and Alok Goyal from Stellaris , Srikrishna Ramamoorthy from Unitus, Ganapathy Venugopal from Axilor, Monica Mehta from Omidyar Network and other key investors.
One of the most awaited sessions is where 20 startups will get to showcase their ideas and innovations in front of a VC panel.
Why is this different?
Bengaluru sees enough and more startup events every other day. So, why should you make an exception and fight through the traffic to get to this?
Simply because SAP is bringing this to you, and so Startup Social 2017 is sure to be a class act. More than anything else, everybody can take away some learning from Startup Social – an aspiring entrepreneur or a successful founder.
The journey on the startup route can be tough and competitive journey. You won’t get a better chance to capitalise on the expertise and experience of industry veterans, and listen to their startup stories, network and interact with evangelists, and maybe even impress an investor.
So, mark your calendars for April 20, 2017 and make sure you don’t miss out on this.
Venue: SAP Labs campus, Whitefield, Bengaluru.
