Meet Aryaman Verma, the youngest drone developer in India

Meet Aryaman Verma, the youngest drone developer in India

Tuesday April 17, 2018 , 2 min Read

The India Book of Records saw a rather unusual entry recently. A 13-year-old boy from Ludhiana, Punjab has registered in the India Book of Records, becoming the youngest drone developer in the country. Aryaman Verma built a Quadcopter that can fly at a height of 70 feet.

A student of the Sat Paul Mittal School, Aryaman has broken all the previous records. An ardent lover of technology, he took only a month to build the drone. He also plans to work on a robot that will help the country.

In a conversation with Asian Age, Aryaman's family said that they have intimated this feat to Guinness Book of World Records and are hopeful of his making that list too.

In an interview with Tribune, Aryaman said,

It took me one month to make the drone. My father supports me in everything. He gives me monetary rewards in lieu of my creations. I am also making an air quality monitor that will inform whether the air is breathable or not. Everything is ready except the programming part. In the long run, I want to make robots that can help our country.

At the age of nine, Aryaman had developed a robot that brought him two gold medals at a robotic championship, says a blog post by NewsBytes.

But his recent creation will be equipped with sensors, cameras and a GPS device. After this achievement, he is gearing up to represent India at an International Robotic Competition in June this year.
