Starting up in Goa? Get help with your startup certification application
Momentum has accelerated to make Goa one of the most preferred startup destinations of India and one of the Top 25 startup destinations of Asia by 2025. Goa also plans to host at least 100 successful startups from Goa in the next five years.
On April 28, 2018, the Government of Goa launched the Goa Startup Policy Schemes and Incentives at the Goa Startup and Innovation Day (GSID) 2018. The event received an overwhelming response from the startup community.
Supportive measures for startups in Goa now include schemes for IPR reimbursement, matching grants, R&D reimbursement, skill development, trademark reimbursement, incubation centres, seed capital, co-working space subsidy, and technology fellowship. A Startup Promotion Cell will also be formed as a nodal agency, along with infrastructure for incubators and accelerators.

And now, the Startup Promotion Cell is hosting a session for the startups who applied on the portal for the certification to avail the benefits.
The handholding workshop for the applicants of startup certification will assist startups in filling out their startup certification application and preparing the required documentation. At the workshop a subject matter expert from the Startup Promotion Cell, will help startups structure their Business Model Canvas, pitch deck, letters of recommendation, and will also answer any queries they might have regarding the process of certification.
The startup certificate, procured thereby, will enable startups to avail various incentives under the Goa Startup Policy.
Applicants may send one person from their startup with adequate knowledge of their business to this workshop.
