Register for Qualcomm Innovation Forum being held on 11 October in Bengaluru. 

Across the world, Qualcomm has continued to encourage industry players to come together to reinvent technology. if one were to specifically look at India, Qualcomm has nurtured interesting initiatives that have grown to become among the most coveted and aspired industry programmes and recognitions.

For instance, the Qualcomm Design in India Challenge, which today is its third year, enables design houses and product companies to invent useful and innovative hardware product designs and contributes to the growth of the domestic hardware ecosystem. In 2017, Qualcomm launched the Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship programme in India – an initiative by the company’s R&D wing to invest in PhD students in order to cultivate new and forward thinking ideas, and to continue to further research and development. The same year saw the launch of the Qualcomm Innovation Forum – a day-long event that celebrates and showcases innovations developed by Qualcomm and its partners.

Furthering its commitment to share, showcase and celebrate innovation, Qualcomm is hosting the 2nd edition of the Qualcomm Innovation Forum on October 11, 2018 in Bengaluru.

The day-long event will feature leaders from Qualcomm, enterprises and startups sharing insights on various aspects of innovation and their take on technologies that are transforming the way the world connects. Sachidanand Varadarajan, VP- Engineering, Qualcomm India, will deliver the inaugural address.

Rahul Patel, SVP & GM, IOT & Connectivity, Qualcomm Technologies, will talk about Qualcomm’s IoT vision and its impact on the areas of connectivity, wearables, voice & music. He will also share how Qualcomm’s expertise in connectivity and computing puts the company in a unique position to invent and deliver the technologies needed in IoT.

Swapnil Jain, Co-founder - Ather Energy, the hardware startup that built India’s first truly intelligent electric scooter, will talk about their journey. Baaziz Achour, Senior Vice President, Engineering Qualcomm Technologies will share Qualcomm’s journey to bring 5G to network operators, industries and consumers. Pranesh Sinha – Sr. Director, Qualcomm Technology Licensing, will be talking about the Qualcomm Design in India Programme. The event will also feature a showcase for startups being incubated as part of the Qualcomm Design In India Programme. This includes Intuvision Labs which will showcase IntuCAM-Nano, its handheld Retinal Camera for medical diagnostic purposes, Chigroo Labs, their smart-cradle for baby sleep management and health monitoring, MobiusWorks’ Wagr, a smart wearable and mobile app to that helps keep your dog safe and fit, Nearex Technologies’ Affordable 3G Payment Terminal and Steradian semiconductors’ Imaging Radar.
