Battery Smart raises Rs 75 Cr from debt fund Stride Ventures
The startup will use the fresh capital to add more batteries to its network and expand to new cities across the country.
Gurugram-based battery-swapping network provider for electric vehicles
has raised Rs 75 crore from venture debt fund Stride Ventures. With this funding, the startup is looking to add more batteries to its network and expand to new cities across the country."By expanding our footprint across more cities and deploying additional batteries to our network, we aim to reach even more EV users nationwide," Pulkit Khurana, Co-founder of Battery Smart, said in a statement.
Launched in June 2020, Battery Smart provides EV-battery swapping stations for electric three-wheeler rickshaws and two-wheelers.

Stride Ventures has so far invested in close to 100 companies, disbursing around $400 million across sectors, according to the statement.
Earlier this year, Battery Smart raised a Series A round of $25 million led by Tiger Global, along with participation from Blume Ventures and Orios Ventures. In November 2021, it raised $7 million in a Pre-Series A round led by Blume Ventures and Orios Ventures.
