" Thirty years back, the idea of women working hadn't set in, specially in India", recalls Shruti Karnani, the proprietor of Shruti Gems
Also the few women that worked at that time were either dealing with clothing or food items, so when she decided to begin this venture in the male dominated Diamond jewellery industry a lot of eyebrows were raised.

It took a lot of dedication, hard work and support of the family that helped her take Shruti Gems to the platform it has reached today. She studied Gemmology and did a couple of short term courses in jewellery designing and diamond grading to ensure a strong base and learning of the industry.

"To save a few hundreds, I use sit for hours at our workshops and vendor shops myself, ensuring the best quality work and reducing chances of errors and rework. Winning the trust of customers was and has always been our primary focus" says Shruti. She believes that with a right attitude and the necessary drive you can achieve your goals.
Shruti Gems today's offers a range of customised diamond and Jadau jewellery. Each creation of Shruti Gems is known for is exquisite craftsmanship and beautiful design. Each design can also be customised to meet the clients exact requirements.
Shruti Karnani keeps herself updated with the current industry trends, she recently redid a masters in jewellery designing and diamond grading so that she offers her clients the latest products.
"It's important to stay updated in this quick changing age, if we won't stay updated we won't be able to offer our customers new designs and products, innovation is the key to keep customers engaged."
