Transition plan: 10 steps to creating a major life change for new year
Sometimes, life feels cumbersome and we see ourselves yearning for a personal change. To grow, to move forward and to renew can make one feel anxious and they try to go back to their old habits. To create a major change and transform oneself into a better person, we need to plan our transformation.
The 10 steps to create a major life change:
1. Clear your thoughts
The first thing in creating the change is to understand why you need the change. Focus on your intention and try to be more specific, what is it exactly that you want to improve.
2. Think over your decision
Once you have decided why and where you want a major change, meditate over it. Center yourself, close your eyes and breathe slowly.
Moving forward can feel scary, if we give up everything we have, we’ll have nothing left. But the truth is once we move, we see our life moving as well, it fills the space with new connections, ideas. Visualize, see the changes you want. Imagine what can be possible when you create a space for something new.
4. Stop worrying
Over analyzing the move you’re about to make can stop you from the change you desire. If you’re trying to figure out what happens if or what if it goes wrong, it’s time to quit thinking and start doing. Once you make the move only then can you comprehend the situation. Stop worrying, feel the energy, the craving and step forward.
5. Risk failure
It is completely natural to fear something new but our fear sometimes lead us to imagine the worst possible scenario, failure. The fear of failing can cease your idea of change. Instead of fearing failure, try to understand that whatever actions we take, it always yields a result. If you step forward, you will reach somewhere.
6. Be practical
While moving forward is best for our personal growth, we need to understand and plan exactly what we want change in. Create a strong foundation to initiate the action in the new direction. Always be prepared for your destination.
7. Avoid complaining
Blaming ourselves for not having the courage for the change will not help at all. Complaining can make you feel less of yourself and the negative thinking only wastes your energy. Believe in yourself and direct your passion to what you desire.
8. Be a fighter
We are built to fight, not only to survive but someone who can overcome fear and move towards their set goals. Set your inner warrior free and take your decisions accordingly.
9. Be self-aware
The path you are taking not only needs action but an awareness as well. Be self-aware, don’t let old habits pull you back. If you do feel the pull, relax, breathe and concentrate on the road ahead.
10. Ask for help
Big changes in life can be unnerving, asking for help can make this difficult change relatively easy. Support from family and friends can ease the transformation you aspire.
We are designed for change, setting goals for transforming ourselves leads us to flourish in life.
