UGC NET is one of the most prestigious exams conducted in India for those who want to pursue their career in Lectureship or Research at PG level. It is also known as National Eligibility Test.


UGC NET was initiated by the University Grants Commission, later CBSE. And from 2018 onward, NTA took over the charges.


Till July 2018, it was conducted in offline mode, but from Dec 2018, it is going to be held in online mode.

Being a lecturer or a researcher is a big thing with great responsibilities. A lecturer and a researcher are supposed to have all possible knowledge available and updated in their subjects of interest.


But gaining this sort of, one must study hard as well as smart. Here smart work is very important to reach to your goal. And to do smart study, one needs smart ways to study.


Below I am going to review both online and offline mode of study and their advantages and disadvantages, which might help students in deciding which mode to choose for better results.


Offline Study Material:

Offline study material means hard copy, i.e, books, notes, etc. the plus point of books is that you get personalized feeling. We are very familiar with this concept of offline studying.


All of us has used books in our lives, we are used to it!


But still there are certain minus points of offline reading like: some books tend to be heavy hence difficult to carry, careful handling, limited number of questions to practice, and sometimes we have to refer to more than 1-2 books for a subject which creates a mess. It is costly as you have to a large number of books, etc.


Also, it is not sure whether the books will always be available in small cities, towns and villages or not.
