PM Modi to launch MSME Support and Outreach Programme on Nov 2
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Support and Outreach Programme on November 2, 2018 at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi.
Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs Arun Jaitley and Union Minister of State for MSME Giriraj Singh are among the other dignitaries who will be present at the occasion.
Various announcements and deliverables focusing on the access to credit and market, hand holding, facilitation support measures, social security benefits for SME employees, etc., are likely to be announced on the occasion.
The ‘MSME Outreach Programme’ will run for 100 days, covering more than 100 districts throughout the country. Various central ministers are likely to visit these districts in order to inform the entrepreneurs about the facilities that will be extended to the MSME sector by the government and financial institutions. The ministers will also urge them to come forward and make the best use of these facilities including access to credit and market, simpler regulatory compliance, improving the ease of doing business, etc.
It is expected that this ‘Outreach Programme’ will help to further boost the MSME sector since it is one of the major employment generator and makes a significant contribution to the overall growth of the economy.
