Now a "startup visa" program by Canada; Is this a trend in the making?

Amidst all measures to revive the struggling economies of the nations world wide, finally, it seems, entrepreneurship seems to have cropped up as the 'healing water'. We recently shared the news of the US President Obama introducing the "startup visa" for entrepreneurs from other countries willing to come and startup in the US, and here we have a similar program being started by the Canadian government.

Starting from April 1 (this year) startup founders shall be linked with private sector organizations in Canada that have experience working with startups to provide essential resources. The government has partnered with local venture finance resources so as to implement the reforms in the best possible manner.
