The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, or ICAI for short, has developed a Student Activity Portal. Here, the students can register from anywhere anytime. With ICAI login, they can keep updated for various students’ programmes being organized by Regional Councils and Branches.


The students can log in and register for various events held. These may be Seminars, Conferences, Mock Tests, Workshop, Special Counselling Programme, Talent Search, etc.


Registration Process


To register, the students can ICAI login using:


  • Students Registration no. as User Name, and
  • Date of birth (in DD/MM/YYYY format) as Password. The password you must reset,
  • You would need to pay the required registration fees. Acceptable modes of payment are through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking), after ICAI Login on the portal itself. Once registered, you will be eligible to attend the event.


The students are advised to visit: https://bosactivities.icai.org/ . Login with the below mentioned details in order to activate their account and register for the events from time to time.


Your registration will not if you could not clear the exam in one or two attempts. The registration is valid for three years. In other words, you get to attempt 6 times. After three years, you can revalidate your registration by paying a revalidation fee.


There is no age limit for registering, ICAi login or taking the course.


No reservation is applicable to clear the exam or campus placement.


The CA Foundation exams are held in May and November every year. A student has to undergo the four months study before appearing in the CA Foundation Examination.


ICAI CA Exam: How to apply


  • Log on to the official website, icaiexam.icai.org,
  • Click on the "Login" tab,
  • New users need to click on the "New User" link and generate your ID. A link will come to your mail id,
  • Now you can do ICAI Login using your ID and password,
  • Choose the course you wish to apply for,
  • Enter the required information and upload documents, photos, and signatures as required,
  • "Submit",
  • Pay the fee as applicable.
  • Once paid, the system will automatically generate the Application Form.
  • Take a print out of the form. You need to affix a recent color photograph and put your signatures. Then dispatch to the regional office of the Institute within 7 days from the Date of registration. 
  • The documents to be sent enclosed are:
  1. Attested copy of Mark sheet of your class 12th examination. (If you have appeared for class 12th examination but the result is yet to be announced, then you need to submit attested copy of the Admit card)
  2. Marksheet of class 10th that indicates your name and DOB, duly attested.
  3. An attested copy of proof of special category certificate i.e. SC/ST, OBC, Differently abled.


​Attestation can be done by a practicing CA or a Gazetted Officer.


The study material will be sent to your registered address through the CDS (Centralised Dispatch System).


CA Foundation course: Exemptions


Candidates with these qualifications, do not need to appear for a foundation exam:


  • those holding Bachelors/Masters degree in commerce with at least 55% or Bachelors/Masters degree in any other stream with at least 60%.
  • persons who have already qualified the intermediate level of examinations of Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) or Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of India (ICMAI).

If you are planning to appear for the November 2019, CA Foundation examination, you need to get yourself registered by 30th June 2019 on ICAI Login. This will be the first attempt for you, in case your Class 12th results are about to be announced.
