materialize their long time dream of starting a business of their own.Owing to sound research, business acumen and some good execution on their part, Prerana and Gautam Singh were the proud owners of the bubbley tea and frozen yogurt brand, Buntea and Bubbley, in less than 4 months of conception. A Geek's Paradise
Buntea and Bubbley have some cool tech gizmos which along with helping daily operations at the store, also have the potential of being one of the key attractions of the place itself. For example, ordering at Buntea and Bubbley is done by a kiosk, which also has a motion sensing projection based foot operated piano. (You've really got to see it to believe it.)
The intention behind this is to leverage technology to reach out to as many people as possible. Gautam and team have tried to infuse an element of technology in their store concept by introducing iPad based menu and have also introduced a smart phone based loyalty program which makes it easy for customers to get free items after every 10 visit.
Gautam says, "The idea behind Buntea & Bubbley is to not just sell beverages and desserts but to provide a great experience to the customer and give them a smile for few moments in this age where we are always in a rush."
A Husband and Wife Team
The husband and wife team of Buntea and Bubbley, like most good founding teams, have complimentary abilities. Prerna, manages the everyday operations of the business. While Gautam still keeps the the day job, working with an MNC on the mobile apps space, he
contributes to the business with the technology aspects of the shop. He says, "I work on the technology front and guide the overall vision of the company in my spare time. I have always had an interest in new technologies which really helped me in developing the motion based piano installation for the store and enabling the iPad based menu and point of sale systems."And like any good husband out there, he accredits all the work at Buntea and Bubbley to his wife. He says, "Prerna was working in the fashion industry prior to this and is now the COE (Chief of Everything) of the company, she has been great at her new job and is managing the entire operations single handedly."
