Startup accelerators in India have been in the news with the oldest Indian accelerator The Morpheus deciding to shift focus to more late stage startups. GSF has shifted to an international model with 4 companies in the batch of 12 being from out of India. Talking about this, Abhishek Gupta, head TLabs, says, “Contrary to popular belief that there are enough players in the ecosystem to help early stage startups, we think the system needs more accelerators with the right mindset and people. The founders and employees of accelerators should be ready to roll up their sleeves and work with the startups hands on. We have maintained that approach and will continue doing so in the future. We believe in building businesses and not business plans.”
