SAP Labs India to house two global AI roles
SAP Labs India announced two global AI roles—Rahul Lodhe as the Global Head of Engineering for SAP Business AI Copilot Joule and Sudhakar Singh as the Chief AI Security Officer—who will be based at its Bengaluru hub.
Lodhe will work closely with leaders across various lines of business to drive the integration of Joule. He will provide technical leadership, set strategic directions, and foster innovation to ensure the delivery of superior software solutions.
Singh will spearhead trustworthy AI initiatives for SAP Business AI, focusing on cybersecurity, data privacy, AI regulations, and compliance within the SAP Business AI portfolio. He will collaborate closely with global security teams and customer success to ensure regulatory adherence, drive innovation, and maintain the highest standards of security and privacy for customer data and operations.

IESA signs MoU with SSIA
The India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA), the industry body representing stakeholders in India's electronics and semiconductor sectors, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Singapore Semiconductor Industries Association (SSIA).
IESA Chairman V Veerappan said, “SSIA has long been acknowledged as a unifying voice for Singapore's semiconductor sector, while IESA's core values emphasise collaborative efforts to nurture the ESDM ecosystem. This partnership aims to harness the abundant opportunities in both nations, fostering resilience and competitiveness in electronics manufacturing."
IESA will actively promote an ecosystem by hosting regional and national events and increasing awareness of SSIA among its members and affiliates. Additionally, the two organisations will collaborate on conducting a joint landscape study covering Singapore and India, identifying potential business opportunities for SMEs in the process
PwC India collaborates with Microsoft for cybersecurity
PwC India partnered with Microsoft India to expand its incident response and recovery capabilities. As organisations face increasingly sophisticated cyber threats, the partnership will combine PwC India’s incident management capabilities and Microsoft’s advanced technology to protect enterprises effectively.
According to a statement, Microsoft Copilot for Security can help enterprises leverage Microsoft’s large-scale data and threat intelligence security graph with PwC’s secure system rebuilding and broader incident management capabilities. In addition, faster eviction of threat actors can be achieved with Microsoft Incident Response swiftly identifying and evicting bad actors, while PwC India focuses on rebuilding mission-critical systems securely.
AGS Transact Technologies upgrades data centre in Navi Mumbai
AGS Transact Technologies, a provider of omnichannel payment solutions in India, has upgraded its data centre in Navi Mumbai, which is expected to drive higher operational efficiency across cash and digital payments business segments.
The services offered by AGS Transact through its current processing unit include omnichannel solutions like ATM, POS, Internet, Kiosk, IVR and more. Further, it is form factor agnostic, covering cardless, contactless, chip-based, NCMC, wallet, QR, magstripe, and other transaction processing services.
The current data centre infrastructure supports products from MasterCard, Rupay, VISA, American Express, Discover, and JCB, among others, used by over 50 banks in the country, processing over 1 billion transactions yearly from 250,000 different channels.
