Building a translation empire
I am a Hungarian lawyer, legal translator and entrepreneur. I have been living and working in Brussels, Belgium since 2012. Brussels is the capital of the European Union, the city of opportunities and multiculturalism. Belgium offers good conditions for startups. During my law studies I was especially interested in international law and EU law. I have always been passionate about languages, foreign affairs, the multicultural working environment and enthusiastic to get to know other cultures.
I lived in South-Italy in 2010 and 2011. As a European Voluntary Service volunteer, I had a great opportunity to get to know different cultures and a different way of life.
I had an amazing professional experience in the European Parliament, where I could follow the political, economic and social processes in Hungary, in the European Union and all around the world. The supranational institutions of the EU are able to offer unique, great and historical opportunities for all the citizens of the member states.
After this experience I worked for an international law firm in Brussels. In 2015 I created my own company, a Brussels-based translation company with a worldwide network of 3000+ translators, interpreters and proofreaders.

When you own your business, you have the freedom to work on different projects that have meaning in your life and you work with much more passion. While running your own company, there are always new challenges to face, you will never stop learning, you can create the desired work atmosphere and you can have geographical freedom, which is amazing.
Success is a multifaceted concept. Success means you can be proud of being able to achieve great things within a short period of time in your professional or personal life. Success is overcoming hard times, to build your existence on your own and the most important: to never give up. If you are really successful, you are in control of your own future.
It is a wonderful and huge challenge to build a “translation empire” from the ground up, only with your passion, can do attitude, your enthusiasm, very hard work and your determination. It is another big challenge to be a female entrepreneur in a male-dominant world we live in today. Women all over the world have talent and power to change their economic status and to contribute to the development of their countries as well. Women’s economic contribution, business initiatives and political participation is still really undervalued and even more unrecognized.
Because of today's economic struggles, uncertainty is very strong, significantly stronger than it was in the past. It is more difficult to strategically plan the future, especially five to ten years. And the major challenge is finding the right, trustworthy and reliable staff. Each team member’s personality will have a huge impact on the harmony, happiness, success and productivity of the business. Surround yourself by a great team!

I've always looked up to the successful women in business. I was inspired by more successful female entrepreneurs who manage their own international business. We don’t have to be envious of successful people. We have to learn from them, listen to their opinion, to ask advice from them in order to improve our skills, and to follow their example.
I respect those brave women who are able to start a new life and to build up a fantastic career on their own. And I am thankful for my amazing, supportive mum, without her my story wouldn’t have come true.
