Nowadays, IT business took a lot of change in running its functions and the total credit for this drastic change should go to Cloud computing. Earlier, IT has never been this much flexible, fast, affordable or reliable.

It’s very important to have a basic knowledge of Cloud Computing (CC) in these IT days because everything is connected with CC in this tech era. So, let’s dig the basics of cloud computing.

What is the Cloud?

Though everyone calls it simply as ‘Cloud’, it should be called as ‘Cloud Computing’. Basically, it’s an internet-based computing which offers data to computers and other devices along with shared computer processing resources on request.

Shortly, it offers businesses to any IT services which are mechanically supplies and mount up or down to match the business requirements. These services can obtain through online and billed according to the resources that were used.

Different Types of Cloud Services:

Different types of cloud services are classified into 3 major types namely SaaS (Software-as-a-Service

), IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service) and PaaS (Platform-as-a-Service). In detail,

IaaSis one of the three forms of cloud computing that offers computing resources virtually on the Internet and incorporate compute resources and storage. It virtualizes physical hardware to access multiple server instances by providing memory, processors, storagesand network access.

This platform provides highly scalable resources on demand and it can be adjusted as per the needs. It suits well for tasks that are experimental or temporary.

PaaSdelivers apps over the Internet along with hardware and software tools and belongs to a family of cloud computing. It is highly accessible to build own services by users in thereadymade environment. Mostly, PaaS offer several advantages to the developers in building software.

SaaShosts apps and make them to available those to users on the Internet and acts as a third-party provider. Vast benefits of SaaS include flexible, scalable, automatic updates, accessibility, and persistence.

Different types of Cloud Models:

Four different types of cloud models are available in the current market. Get abasic idea by reading below:

Public Cloud: These services are offered to the clients on subscription and they can access from anywhere on this planet merely through an Internet. That’s why it referred as public cloud.

Private Cloud: As like the name indicates, in this model, all the services are assembled only to a single organization and that offers from the company’s intranet.

Hybrid Cloud: Both the cloud models, private and public execute different functions for the same company in this cloud on switching data between the two environments.

Community Cloud: In this model, services are built for certain group of companies which have same computing requirements and objectives.
