Sugar Cosmetics

Sugar Cosmetics is an Indian e-commerce company co-founded by Vineetha Singh and Kaushik Mukherjee, in the year of 2015.


Sugar is headquartered in Mumbai and sell products related to makeup and skin care. Its products are claimed to be cruelty-free and catering to Indian skin tones. They are manufactured in countries across the globe including the likes of Germany, Italy, Korea and the USA, as their LinkedIn profile states. Sugar cosmetics is further accessible through its mobile app, website or physical stores/retail outlets.


Sugar has an omnichannel network that’s used for distribution to more than 45,000 retail outlets, panning across multiple cities in India, as The Hindu Business reports. Their supply chain caters to retail stores and vast marketplaces, combined with D2C channel shipping that provides direct access to consumers across 20,000 PIN codes.


In 2017, Sugar launched its first brand outlet store in Kolkata, West Bengal and simultaneously established kiosks in multiple malls.


Sugar was featured as one of the top 4 cosmetic brands in well-known retail chains such as Lifestyle and Health and Glow. As of 2023, its sales improved by 15 per cent, after their cash burn was reduced in the previous fiscal. It presently has over 2 million followers on Instagram.
